I was first introduced to this subject and the GASLIGHT rules by a friend in Christchurch, Stu Prince. Haven't actually played it yet, but I was interested enough to buy the GASLIGHT rules and another set called "England Invaded".

I'm not so much interested in special characters and Martians etc. What I really like is the idea of a clash between Imperial British Redcoats and Imperial Germans in Pickelhaubes. Each side will comprise the standard infantry, cavalry, artillery arms.....but also landships, airships, and other weird and whacky steam-powered fighting machines.

I've picked up some beautifuly painted 25mm lead British Colonial troops and Franco-Prussian War Prussians as the base of my armies (back in NZ so no pics) and I have been progressively picking up the weird and whacky bits to make things interesting.
